As of 4/27/12

•  The FCC has just informed us that only 41% of licenses that need to be narrowbanded have actually been completed.  With only 8 months left, and over 100,000 licenses in jeopardy, please check any licenses you have (or ask us to check them for you), so you're not the one whose license is terminated.

As of 1/1/11

• The FCC no longer accepts new licenses or existing license modifications with new wideband designations.  Equipment that operates on 25 kHz is no longer allowed to be manufactured or imported.

As of 8/28/08

• Sticking with tradition, the FCC has officially raised their rates again.  Please go to our home page and download our latest form(s) which include the current rates (listed at the bottom of the application).  This will help expedite your application and avoid any delays while we wait for money to cover the additional fees.  Applications submitted on September 13th or later will be charged the new fees.

As of 8/22/07

• The FCC is raising their rates again in September, 2007.  Please go to the home page and download our updated form(s) to get the current rates.  The rate increase will go into effect September 1, 2007.

• The FCC is planning to raise their rates again this fall.  Please continue to download updated forms to get the most current rates.

As of 8/29/06

• The FCC has raised its rates again.  Please download our updated application(s) with the new rates.  The rate increase will begin September 1, 2006.

As of 10/31/05

• All Construction Notices must be completed before November 21, 2005.  All licenses without the proper notification will be cancelled by the FCC on that date.  Mainly, this applies to licenses issued in 2001 and 2002.  If you feel your license may be at risk, please contact us and we will research it for you.

As of 8/10/05

• Construction Notices must be completed before Fall 2005, or risk license cancellation.  This applies mostly to licenses issued in 2001 and 2002.  If you are concerned that your license may be at risk, please contact us and we will be happy to research it for you.
• We now have new FCC rules books for sale (they were unavailable for a while).  The purchase price is $89.

As of 3/15/05

• All new 900 MHz applications are frozen.
• Nextel 800 MHz rebanding has started.

As of 12/30/04

• All licenses are now good for 10 years.
• The FCC has changed its policy on municipal golf courses, and is now requiring them to use public safety channels.  This is a time-consuming and expensive choice.  There are few existing public safety channels, and they are already crowded.
• We are still waiting for the final acceptance of Nextel in the FCC's 800 MHz policy plan.  Action is expected in the first quarter of 2005.
